No big pink squirrels here, but indirect tax advisory work by the bucket load, so much so we have created a new position for someone like you to join us and step into a 100% advisory role.
Picture this, you would be joining an ambitious top 50, 20 partner practice at a time when the tax team is growing. Although there are 165 employees across the firm you would become part of our 20 strong tax team, stepping into a brand-new position created for an innovative and experienced VAT specialist.
With the ever-changing VAT landscape, the team are looking for an indirect tax specialist to join the team, navigating through the diverging EU rules and supporting the ever-growing international client base, as well as looking at opportunities to provide continued innovation of service to our wider client base.
Thomas Adcock one of our Tax Partners envisages this as being "technology lead advisory" using the shift to real time data to support clients, mining the data and providing proactive consultancy advice on cross border transactional work and complex property pieces.
As an experienced indirect tax specialist, you are more aware than anyone for the need to be up to date with the technical element of the job role, but if you can see a better, bolder way to do business, an innovate approach that offers continued quality of service by using technology and data available. . . well you would fit in perfectly here.

As with any job we think there are a few things that would help you succeed from the start, these include:
- CTA qualified - would be great, but it’s not essential
- Strong technical knowledge - bit of an obvious one, you will need to have proven experience of providing indirect tax advice to a variety of clients including cross border transactions and property
- Experience of working as either a Manager, Director or Consultant within a practice, with a focus on VAT/Indirect Tax
- Have a desire to take responsibility for continuing to support development of your team
- Strong IT skills and the ability to analyse data
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with team members and holding meetings with clients.
