This well known London based Global Bank are looking to recruit a Treasury Accountant on a 12 month FTC. You will be responsible for assisting with the production of all Treasury Accounting daily trading P&Ls, and contributing to the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting of Treasury P&L in accordance with IFRS. You will have a strong rounded knowledge of the accounting conventions, including IFRS, which are relevant to the financial reporting for Treasury.


  • Responsible for the production of some of the daily front office P&Ls
  • Assists in the production of IFRS compliant accounts for Treasury on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Ad hoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders, eg rating agency submissions
  • Application of IFRS to Treasury's accounts including analysis of the effect of new/amended standards and the evolution of best practice in relation to existing ones
  • Assist with issues relating to accounting for financial instruments (including bonds, money markets, and derivatives) and hedge accounting
  • Documentation and testing of internal controls
  • Assists in interpretation of new IFRS and their impact on accounting for Treasury
  • Preparation of IFRS-compliant Treasury sections for the annual financial statements


  • Qualified chartered accountant
  • Experience of Treasury reporting an advantage
  • A self-starting, highly disciplined and team oriented individual
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Adept at working with IT systems, including intermediate Excel. Knowledge of Summit and SAP R3 and advanced Excel an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Able to represent the team confidently and assertively in inter-departmental meetings
