Your new company
My client is a university based in Central London. They are currently recruiting for a Tax Manager on a permanent basis.
Your new role
To lead on the provision of a professional UK tax and Insurance advisory service to staff and students across the University. Lead in the development of suitable policies and procedures to support the arrangements for UK tax and Insurance, giving clear and timely advice to staff at all levels across the University. Responsible for ensuring guidance notes, training materials, and other UK tax information for staff is up-to-date and reflects current legislative requirements where applicable. Responsible for all UK tax reporting to HMRC, including VAT, Gift Aid and employment tax, and for managing the compliance arrangements at the University efficiently. Develop and deliver formal training to staff across the university in relation to UK tax and Insurance. To act as deputy to the Head of Tax, Expenses and Insurance.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential to have extensive and detailed knowledge of tax legislation in the UK including VAT, Gift Aid and Employment and the reporting requirements. You will have sound knowledge of UK and international financial reporting standards and their application. In addition, you will have good knowledge of financial reporting systems.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a salary of between £46,423 - £54,450 per annum, dependant on experience, including an excellent benefits package.
