Ritchie Phillips is a successful firm of Chartered Accountants offering specialist tax advice and accountancy services to an enviable client base of high net worth private clients and entrepreneurs.

Based in modern offices in the centre of Horsham with a wealth of highly experienced staff attracting clients from London and the South East the firm is seeking another Tax Manager to service its expanding work load.

Role Overview

The role is to support the Principal in the management of the tax compliance requirements for a portfolio of clients, including both personal and corporate taxation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Completion and submission of tax returns for clients, including sole traders, limited companies, trusts, partnerships, directors and high net worth individuals
  • Ensuring that statutory deadlines for the filing of tax returns are met, liaising pro-actively and efficiently with clients throughout the process
  • Managing the compliance requirements for a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact for those clients and seeking input and support from the Principal and other team members for advisory assignments
  • Managing a client portfolio delivering work within agreed budgets and taking responsibility for the billing and cash collection
  • Identifying and developing tax planning and advisory opportunities for clients
  • Maintaining and developing technical knowledge in order to ensure accurate advice is provided
  • Completion of P11D returns

Qualifications and skills for this role:

  • A professional qualification is preferred (CTA/ACA etc), but consideration will be given to those qualified by experience
  • Significant understanding of and at least five years practice experience within tax compliance and tax advisory work
  • In depth and up to date knowledge of both personal and company taxation
