The Programme

The purpose of the Swire Finance Programme is to develop high performing, high potential individuals into finance leadership roles. Your performance and drive to succeed will determine how quickly you progress and how far you go on the Programme.

Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to explore different industries, countries and cultures while gaining broad financial experience. With job rotations every few years and extensive training and development support, you’ll never stop learning.

In terms of progression, you’ll be expected to reach at least Level 4 (General Manager) in our leadership hierarchy. The strongest performers and those who exhibit the most potential will have the opportunity to progress to Senior Executive roles (Finance Director or CFO).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Business and commercial acumen and the aspiration to become a Finance Director

  • Intellectually curious and with strong learning agility

  • Strong leadership potential

  • Team player with strong communication skills and culturally adaptable

  • Driven and takes initiative

  • Qualified accountants (ACA)

  • Relevant experience to join at either Team Leader or Operational Leader level

  • Excellent command of English

  • Other language skills, especially Cantonese and Putonghua, an advantage

  • Geographically mobile, including but not limited to locations such as Papua New Guinea/West Africa. Executives are expected to work on rotation across different geographies and operating companies throughout their career with Swire.
