Are you an ACA qualified small firm Accounts Manager / Practice Manager with a strong background in working with SME / OMB clients, looking to be the number 2 in a newly opened office of a well known national firm of accountants and business advisors? Are you keen to work with the managing partner of the firm and assist with opening, building and running a new office which will be based in a key location in Central London along the Central Line? Do you want to receive a generous bonus package dependant on achievable targets of how quickly the office grows and profitability levels? If so, this niche and newly created role could prove to be a great opportunity for you to play a major part in building a new and highly successful office of an existing profitable practice! Building the office from scratch you will have the support of the Managing Partner plus a tried and tested support, networking, technical support and advertising network which will help the new office attract and retain new clients very quickly. You will then assist with, and manage building a small team of accountants to help service the clients to a high standard. The firm mainly works with small and medium sized entrepreneurial clients (mainly Ltd companies and individuals) from a wide range of sectors. Some clients may be offshore. You will provide the full spectrum of services for your SME clients, including the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation and personal tax returns, VAT, bookkeeping and advisory services as well as tailored services to suit your clients needs. First your role will be hands on but once the office grows your role will be supervisory and mainly review of work. You will be responsible for managing all clients in the office, be responsible for continued growth, being the first point of contact for clients and assist with the overall management of the office with the Managing Partner. There will be NO audit clients. The firm uses all the modern cloud based software packages such as Xero, Quickbooks online etc. The role would be ideal for an ambitious qualified accountant looking for a new challenge in a commercial, entrepreneurial environment with increased responsibility but increased rewards.
To be considered for this newly created role (February 2020) you must be an ACA fully qualified Accounts Manager / Practice Manager with experience acting as a Practice Manager or Accounts Manager in a small or medium sized accountancy practice firm. OR you might be an experienced Senior or Assistant Manager looking for your first managerial position. You are likely to be from a small firm background and have experience of the above duties, including managing a portfolio, statutory accounts, corporation and personal tax, VAT and bookkeeping as well as servicing clients to a high standard and reviewing work. You will mainly have worked with small businesses and individuals. You must also be fully committed and motivated to assist with building a new office from scratch (with the help of a very strong support network).
