Your new company
Join one of the largest firms of chartered accountants in the North West as they build out and develop their new Manchester city-centre based office. Your new role
You will be required to directly support and assist the tax partner, absorbing some of their workload while also helping to both manage, develop and build the Tax team out due to the opening of their new Manchester capability. You will manage a variety of tax planning projects, whilst being instrumental in helping with the strategic direction of the team, business development and completing advisory work. Other responsibilities will include; Company restructuring, Shareholder tax planning, Employee share schemes, Dividend planning, Tax efficient share structures, Acquisition and disposal of private companies / structuring and tax due diligence, Management buy outs, Estate planning .
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will need to have a broad knowledge of corporate, personal, business and capital taxes. A CTA / ATT qualification would be preferred for the successful applicant but it is not required. You will need to be able to deliver key tax planning projects, work towards tight deadlines and do so with an ability to spot additional billing opportunities alongside your duties (i.e. possess a strong commercial acumen). Quality client care is vital to the success and longevity of the firm's business so confidence and precision in your articulation will also be a big aid. Working across disciplines is an essential part of this leadership role, as well as helping problem solve using keen initiative. Recruitment advice and training of staff may also be required.
