Job Description

Qualified ACA ACCA senior portfolio manager job with dynamic accountancy practice in Wimborne

Your new firm
You will be working for a small dynamic practice reporting directly to the partners.

Your new role
You will be work for a firm that works slightly differently to a traditional practice in that they don't work by departments. They have portfolio managers who act for a portfolio of clients, the complexity of which can vary tremendously.
As a portfolio manager here you will be working in conjunction with the directors doing everything that the client needs, which therefore includes the accounts, corporate tax, personal tax, company secretarial, planning etc etc. Generally "if its in your portfolio you deal with it" and you almost work like a 'mini' partner.
All in all this makes for a very interesting job and your portfolio will be tailored in its content to suit your skill set and preferences.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful person will be ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally with at least 5 years post qualification experience, with the ability to do tax and accounts and have enough about them to take a role in the Practice Management as time progresses. Depending on the person, this could be reviewing of training team or to actually be a Director one day.
The partners are looking for a "commercial accountant" with good planning skills with extensive experience of managing a client portfolio with accountancy practice. By "commercial" they mean someone brave enough to give advice on a client's commercial options.
Additionally, because the team are all actively encouraged to engage with their clients, this person must be an excellent communicator both over email/phone and in person. This is a role for someone who is prepared to go beyond the norm.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a very competitive salary salary along with a number of benefits to include a parking permit, private medical insurance and auto enrolment pension. There is also a bonus scheme for which you would be eligible.
The office hours are 8.45am to 5.00pm and they never work on Christmas Eve!
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who really wants to push their career forward and who thoroughly enjoys client care/management.
