Hays are delighted to be Exclusively Partnered with an Edinburgh based Membership organisation for the appointment of a Senior Internal auditor. This is a full time role working with great remote working options. Our client are a fantastic organisation with a proud Scottish heritage and enterprise across all service areas. Through substantial investment across a number of sites our client is looking to build the internal audit presence across the organisation to add value through the effective delivery of internal audit services.
Your new role
This is a key strategic role where the Senior internal Auditor will support the Head of Internal Audit with the delivery of the internal audit service model and support on key strategic projects across the business. Working with the audit committee, liaising with directors and the leadership team this role will interface at all levels across the organisation and is an incredible visible role. This post will assume responsibility for Operational and Financial audits and will be part of a wider strategic business improvement role.
The Internal audit function is business wise offer significant exposure across finance, IT, legal, risk and operations. You will be accountable for planning, conducting and communicating the results of internal audit findings. You will actively contribute to process improvement, enhancing procedures and identifying new development opportunities. You will maintain the assurance framework and act as a trusted partner across the organisation to challenge and innovate as well as acting as an ambassador for risk and control.
What you'll need to succeed
As a fully qualified IIA member or chartered accountant you will have strong technical as well as analytical experience, interacting with senior stakeholders and influencing change across processes and adding value. This is a great role for an ambitious candidate either looking to make a more from the profession into a strategic role or an experienced Internal Auditor looking for advancement in their career. You will be a trusted advisor across the business able to build relationships with ease across both financial and non financial stakeholders.
