Job Description

This fast growing law firm have been involved in some of the most high-profile cases in family law of the past decade, making global headlines with their success representing ultra high net worth clients. As the Valuations expert in this client facing role, you will be joining the in-house financial and forensic accountancy team, focusing on the valuation of corporate interests in matrimonial proceedings


  • Conduct valuations of corporate interests using a variety of techniques for internal purposes;
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the value in other financial assets such as pensions, trusts, and various banking facilities;
  • Question reports prepared by third parties using your fundamental knowledge of valuation methodology and the underpinning tenants of best practice;
  • Understand how financial disclosure could impact the progression of a case through a developing understanding of family law;
  • Sculpt formal documents explaining your findings on a case, or your thoughts on a report or information received in a way that is accessible for an intelligent, but untrained audience;
  • Have the ability to write persuasively and advocatorially;
  • Attend meetings directly with clients and be able to articulate clearly the actions you are taking and the impact you expect it to have on the case;
  • Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders about your work and how it impacts them and their clients, contributing towards strategic discussions for a case;
  • Be involved with the training of more junior staff.


  • c.5-10 years of working in valuations, preferably matrimonial, but any contentious valuations practice would be suitable;
  • There will be a preference towards having worked for and with large, blue-chip organisations;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Emotional intelligence
