Goodman Masson are searching for a Senior Accountant to join a multi-billion-dollar, family office investing across a mix of assets, including financial investments, real estate, private equity and debt.

This is a superb opportunity for a bright, qualified accountant to grow their accounting knowledge and develop their skills in an incredibly broad position, gaining unrivalled exposure to the industry.

Being part of a friendly and collaborative finance team, the successful candidate will be part of a critical business function which underpins the foundation of the firm. Based in the West End, the business itself is informal where senior management want people to enjoy their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain exposure to UK & global property investments and fund investments ensuring the records are maintained correctly;
  • Overseeing all general accounting inputs to the property accounting;
  • Prepare, manage, and oversee statutory accounts preparation and filing for all property entities;
  • Develop a detailed understanding of all tax issues concerning property SPVs;
  • Assist in the production of the quarterly property performance report for the management team and shareholders, including the tracking of financial commitments to report to treasury;
  • Assistance in the appraisal of property economics and preparation of models for assessment by the property operations team;
  • Attend meetings with partners that concern financial implications of a project;
  • Supporting junior staff with their various day-day responsibilities and providing training and guidance in their role.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent);
  • Real Estate / Property, Private Equity, Asset Management or Financial Services experience developed either at an Audit / Accounting Practice or an inhouse finance team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and develop relationships;
  • Ability to influence to achieve results and make a strong impact;
  • Forward thinking, confidently voicing new ideas to improve process.
