Job Description

Full-time, 35 hours per week.

12 month fixed term contract.

Home-based (subject to meeting requirements for homeworking) or based at CSP London Office.

We have an opportunity for an experienced finance professional, to join us and undertake a comprehensive audit and review of our finance functions, making recommendations and changes where appropriate to ensure the optimization of finance procedures.

Working collaboratively with the finance department, you will support the team to build capacity to implement recommendations arising from the review. You will also provide technical leadership and support to the team and in particular the Financial Accountant role, in helping to resolve historical issues as they arise and enabling the smooth delivery of the ongoing workload.

A qualified Accountant (ACA) with extensive experience in financial management in the not-for-profit sector, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to provide effective support for a department in the implementation of innovative practice around business process and systems. You will have a proven strategic leadership background and will be able to support senior executives and board to make key decisions, supporting colleagues through significant organisational change, building trusted relationships and gaining support for new initiatives.

The CSP is the trade union and educational, professional organisation for the UK’s 60,000 chartered physiotherapists, support workers and students; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.
