Our client have gone from strength to strength over the last 6 months and they are now looking to strengthen the finance team with a Risk & Compliance Manager. This is truly exciting role joining an ambitious company on their journey where you will gain a broad exposure across business operations. The Risk & Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the businesses strategy and delivery arrangements related to information governance, risk and compliance.

This opportunity would suit a motivated and driven individual looking to add value and progress with the business. This role requires 2-3 days of office working weekly in the borders with flexible working opportunities.
Your new role
You will report into the Finance Director working within an autonomous environment. This role will provide specialised knowledge to the Senior Leadership Team and staff, ensuring compliance and best practice on information governance, fostering a data protection culture across various sites. The Risk & Compliance Manager will have a major strategic presence in shaping organisation policies, advising senior management on risks and having strong awareness around information governance and data protection.
This role requires a strong Corporate Governance professional with a strong attention to detail to comply with changes in legislation and statutory obligations. You will be supporting key stakeholders across the business with Management information and liaising with external parties.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager with the ability to lead development and implementation of policies, guidance and procedures to support the delivery of Information Governance. This role will take control of the the assurance framework so practical experience here is essential from creating the framework to executing the strategy. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and strong communication skills and ability to problem solve are important qualities here. You will also facilitate change and contribute to ongoing development of wider compliance and risk measures.
