Record to Account Delivery Lead


Your new role
The Record to Account Delivery Lead will lead the Journals & Inter-company team, the Reconciliations team, the Variance Reporting analysts, the General Ledger close team and the Planning Budgeting & Forecasting team. The purpose of the role is to implement, develop and deliver financial accounting and reporting services consistent with group and divisional requirements and drive compliance with internal controls and the central close timetable. The role holder should ensure the development and implementation of the financial processes to enhance customer experience and reduce costs by creating an environment of challenge, innovation and continuous improvement

What you'll need to succeed
* Lead the development and implementation of clearly defined strategy ensuring that team goals and strategies are aligned to the overall Business Services Function (BSF) strategy
* Manage effective resource and activity demand planning across R2A activities and as part of the annual budget setting process
* Manage the effective use of staff and accounting systems and coordinate activities between the BSF and Company finance and business teams to develop and agree key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics and ensure the delivery of these for R2A activities
* Lead the production of statutory and financial accounting information consistent with financial and statutory guidelines
* Lead the provision of a high quality financial reporting and accounting support services to group finance and finance teams embedded in the divisions
* Responsible for managing internal and external audit requirements, compliance with statutory requirements, accounting policies and internal controls
* Design and manage implementation of internal process and financial controls
* Keep informed of industry and regulatory trends and prepare the team to respond to the changing business environment
* Engage in multiple client relationships both internally and externally to ensure that the level of service provided b is efficient and credible and meets the needs of its customers
* Manage escalations from the team and support them in managing critical risks and issues
* Drive the required cultural attributes across the team including focus on compliance and service delivery
