This Private Client Tax Assistant Manager role is with an industry leading, award-winning team that is part of an international Practice. The Private Client Assistant Manager will provide compliance and advisory services to HNWIs in Surrey, London and Internationally. The role holder will support the continued expansion of the Private Client Tax team. The Private Client Tax team in Guildford consists of 17 in total with 2 Partners and is a very collaborative environment where any member of the team can ask for advice or assistance from the Partners and Senior Management.

As a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day tax compliance and advisory services for clients with supervision from Senior Management including communicating with clients. You will be expected to act as a key point of contact within the firm for your portfolio of clients, which will involve responding quickly to, as well as anticipating client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in regard to all aspects of the service provided and maintaining regular contact with clients. An Assistant Manager will review the work prepared by more junior members of staff as well as assisting them in their personal and professional development. An Assistant Manager will participate in the growth of the business including the contribution through Partners meetings and by attendance at events. The Assistant Manager should also be able to recognise business development opportunities, informing and working with the Senior team to develop these when they arise, attending business development meetings.

In order to successfully obtain this position, you will be expected to be able to demonstrate 75-90% of the following requirements:

  • Some staff management experience
  • Significant understanding of and previous experience within Personal Tax Compliance
  • Private Client Tax advisory experience is preferable
  • Ability to manage a small client portfolio
  • Educated to degree level and CTA/ACA qualified
  • Demonstrable post qualified experience
