As a Private Client Senior Tax Manager, you will be expected to provide a range of Tax services, focusing on private client compliance and advisory work, specialising in personal and capital taxes across a broad range of clients. Our clients come from all industries and backgrounds, so exposure to multiple sectors would be a distinct advantage; a good working knowledge of rural and capital taxes would be beneficial. More specifically this would include providing support and assistance to the West Country Partners and client facing staff on a wide range of tax issues, identifying tax planning opportunities, delivering tax advisory projects such as IHT planning, , liaising with staff and clients to resolve technical queries, communicating with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met, and help overseeing client portfolios to ensure HMRC deadlines are met.

In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our customers. A relevant professional qualification such as ATT, CTA and/or TEP and at least 3 years post qualification experience in practice are essential for this role. The successful appointment will have a collaborative outlook with a process mindset and be adept at dealing with clients around complex tax matters. As this is a Senior position within the team, you will also gain the opportunity to nurture and mentor more junior staff via involvement in advisory projects, reviewing compliance work, assist with tax training and be involved in business development and marketing.
