Your new company
This Manchester based Big 4 firm's Private Capital Tax team is a well-established group of around 5 dedicated private capital tax specialists based in Manchester who help predominantly UK larger owner managed and private businesses (with some listed groups) and address all their private capital structuring and planning needs. They have clients across many sectors including major sporting clubs, technology, aerospace, chemical companies and more. They help clients to determine the best approach to their corporate private capital tax strategy and structure, provide advice on how to expand into new markets (including abroad).
Your new role
Your new Manchester based role as an Private Capital Tax Manager involves working on a range of projects and clients within various sectors. The work includes managing a portfolio of accounts, spotting opportunities for those clients and your new firm, advising and delivering work for UK private businesses and certain groups on a range of project work, including company structuring, tax efficient financing, inbound and outbound investment and more. You will be recommending strategies for managing clients' effective tax rate using efficient intellectual property, financing and other strategies as well as project managing cross border teams and UK client service teams on an ongoing basis on advisory (and sometimes on M&A) projects. Assisting senior managers with client relationships and key project work and learning from these senior members of staff. There will be some review work of more junior members of the team as part of your role.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need to be ACA/CTA/ACCA/CA qualified with 3-5 years' experience in tax (international tax experience preferential). You will need to have excellent communication skills, analytical skills and a commercial approach to business. A high level of drive and enthusiasm will be vital to succeed within this team.
