Job Description

About the role:
As the Principal Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for leading the performance management of all commercial contracts across a specific sector of the business, with a complete understanding of risk and exploiting the opportunity to outperform budget.
You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the contract performance with robust Key Performance Indicators and performance framework which you would use to organise and lead contractor implementation of change and continuous improvement
You will have Indirect control of £15-20m Capex budget per annum along with the indirect responsibility for Field Operations’ Capex Serviceability budgets of £19m whilst proposing and leading negotiations for all contract delivery, reconciliation and change management.
You will be required to recommend ‘make or buy’ and contract changes through ongoing analysis to outperform budget and enhance the quality of contracted service.
To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Relevant Commercial /Contract Management experience or qualifications
  • Management Qualification or experience of performance management
  • Commercial minded
  • Understanding of basic principles of Contract law
  • Demonstrable excellent influencing/negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of the water industry and regulatory framework would be desirable but not essential
