Your new firm
A reputable and well established firm of Chartered Accountants based in East Lancashire are forward planning to the last quarter of 2020 and are keen to review the profiles of experienced managers / senior managers for the appointment of a partner designate. This role has arisen due to succession plans and is a fantastic career opportunity for a Qualified Chartered Accountant to progress their career. The firm are considering applications currently with a view to conduct interviews in June.
Your new role
As a Partner Designate you will initially work closely with one of the partners to successfully allow for the handover of a portfolio of clients. For this portfolio you will be responsible for budgeting and managing workflow, delegating and reviewing the work which will include audit assignments, statutory accounts and tax compliance. You will act as a key advisor for your clients and be responsible for delivering and overseeing ad hoc projects such as valuations, due diligence and tax planning work.
Over time, you will progress through to partnership within the firm.
What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant who can demonstrate a well rounded skill set and is able to oversee and advise across audit, tax and accounting. As a partner designate you will be responsible for managing both client and employee relationships and therefore you must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, patience and organisational skills.
