Permanent, Full-time Partner Designate job in North Fife, Salary £50,000 - £65,000

Hays Senior Finance are excited to exclusively partner with an established accountancy firm in North Fife who are seeking a Partner Designate to join their growing team, working with clients situated throughout Scotland. The role has arisen due to retirement and the client are now looking for someone equally experienced to hit the ground running on a full-time, permanent basis. Salary is up to £65,000 DOE with additional equity stake available at an early stage.
Your new role
The successful candidate will join a team of 3 other partners and will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients currently managed by a soon to retire senior director. You will be responsible for undertaking a large client base with a significant number of those client's interests lying within land, agriculture and other rural based activities but otherwise covering all the range of activities one would expect to find in the rural economy. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of accounting, tax, general business advisory and financial planning services to those clients, conducted to the highest levels of service of which the firm has become recognised for over the years. You will also be expected to join the business management team and contribute to its strategic development on an ongoing basis.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with an ACMA, ACCA, or CA qualification with a minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience. Experience of supervising, training and developing junior staff and trainees is essential as is a demonstrable track record of achievement throughout your career to date. You will be familiar with well-known accounting and tax packages such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, CCH etc. You will be an excellent communicator with good inter-personal skills seeking a close-knit business culture. A working knowledge, experience and interest in advising clients with significant rural property and agricultural interests would be a distinct advantage.
