|Contact Name:||Louise Bridge|

Join the market-leader in this Caribbean jurisdiction and play an active contribution to ongoing success.
Your new company
My client is the market-leading firm in this Caribbean location, and specialists in Restructuring, Insolvency, Contentious/Litigious and Fraud. Much of their work is complex and cross-jurisdictional and combines an ideal blend of intellectual challenge and strategic input. Already the largest firm in the area, they are expanding even further due to organic growth and enhanced market share. Recognised in the Global Thought Leader category in Who's Who Legal, they are heading for another record year, and are now interested in bringing in a new Manager to be part of their success story going forward, to work on instructions ranging from headline/ newsworthy to smaller-yet-interesting.
Your new role
Your portfolio and case involvement could include:
- Advisory mandates
- Solvent restructuring and Strategic Exit Routes
- Cryptocurrency matters
- Forensic accounting
- Contentious and Fraud
and with casework that frequently involves multiple international jurisdictions such as Hong Kong, Russia and the CIS, Cyprus, the US, Asia and more.
If you're an experienced Insolvency Manager then I don't need to tell you you'll be responsible for client and 3rd party management, training and nurturing more junior staff and of course contributing to business development.
What you'll need to succeed
The visa system works on points so the better qualified you are, the more likely you are to get over there.
Guideline qualifications would be:
- JIEB (or minimum CPI + another. relevant qualification)
Then your Insolvency/Corporate Recovery experience will need to be to equivalent Manager level in your country. This is because Offshore work is typically larger and more complex, so there is a sharp learning curve for anyone from a mainly formal insolvency background.
The firm welcomes applications from other Offshore locations, the UK, Australasia, Hong Kong, Canada and any country whose Insolvency Regulation is founded in UK Insolvency law.
What you'll get in return
- Caribbean climate & lifestyle (plenty of sports both water-based and land-based)
- Flexible working culture
- Working with some of the nicest (and most successful) people in the industry
- The ability to enhance your own profile towards your journey as an appointment-taker; or Partner if/when repatriating; having a real USP to offer your domestic market
- Excellent benefits including 100% coverage healthcare , work phone, paid Wifi and 30 days holidays (plus bank holidays)
