Join a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Radcliffe as a mixed tax senior. This firm represents clients on a local, regional, and national scale and provides a variety of accounting services to help their clients continue performing at the peak of their game. These include, accounts preparation, audit, taxation, payroll, business advisory and corporate finance. Their client base is made up of owner managed businesses, SMEs and larger groups, with some high-net-worth individuals too. This position has become available due to an upcoming retirement in the team after a longstanding service by the incumbent in the role.
Your new role
Your new role in this Radcliffe based accountancy practice is one as a Mixed Tax Senior. This job will involve the day-to-day management of a compliance portfolio and the management of the clients there associated. This role will require you to correspond with clients and HMRC on a frequent basis and keep track of the compliance processing for cyclical and active work, ie. with P11ds and tax returns. There is a tax manager and a tax partner that will handle the more complicated aspect of tax advisory work ie. with IHT.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be the successful applicant for this job role as a mixed tax senior based in Radcliffe, you must have a good understand of tax compliance practices and be organised and efficient when working towards deadlines. You must have a client service oriented mindset and be confident dealing with clients and the revenue as required. A good understanding of filing submissions and returns throughout different annual processes will also be useful. There are no qualifications required for this position however you must have had relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
What you'll get in return
In return for this role, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary that will be determined based on your experience to date, between £23-28,000. They will also offer a competitive annual holiday allowance and offer all bank holidays as part of this. They have a flexible core hours policy between the house of 10:00-16:00 each day to help you maintain your commitments outside of work. The firm will also consider a shorter working week, ie. 4 days if necessary.
