Large multi-office practice seeking Mixed Tax Consultant into their office in Carlisle

With 15 regional offices from Glasgow to Leeds, this accountancy practice aims to provide a truly tailored service and are large and experienced enough to work alongside any size of business. This firm has been advising clients across the North of England and Scotland for over 150 years, providing a full range of specialist services and financial advice including accountancy, audit, tax, payroll, corporate finance, financial planning, to name a few. This practice is now looking to recruit an experienced tax consultant into their Carlisle office.
Your new role
As an experienced Tax consultant you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients and take accountability for offering advisory and tax planning services. You will ensure your clients tax planning solutions meet with their commercial or personal needs, offering good tax planning advice and reducing their tax risk.You will be the first point of contact for a varied client base and handle any complex project work alongside a partner. As a senior member of the team you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining close client relationships, spotting new business opportunities and reviewing the work for more junior tax staff.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful applicant for this role you will have experience in managing a varied portfolio of clients from within practice and be competent in offering advisory and tax planning services for both personal and corporate tax clients. The ideal candidate will be qualified to CTA/ ACA/ ACCA level with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting more junior members of staff in tax and reviewing their work.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive a salary of between £32,000-£40,000 (Dependent on experience) 26 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday. You will also received an Employer Contribution Pension Scheme with 3.1% including four time Life cover and Income Protection cover.
