Hays Senior Finance is currently supporting a market leading FMCG to assist with their continuing growth by securing a key hire into their finance function. The position will be that of a Management Accountant and will grow in line with the business, supporting the Finance Director and Managing Director on this exciting journey.

The Management Accountant position which will take full ownership of a successful Division within the Group whereby you will carry out monthly management accounting, financial reporting and costing/pricing systems.

The role

Working closely with the Finance Director and Managing Director, you will focus on producing the management accounts along with the financial reporting and costing/pricing analysis for a successful subsidiary within the group. The role will also involve business partnering with variety of stakeholders, as well as processing and managing finance as a whole and will provide great exposure to the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

Produce the monthly management accounts
Preparing the annual budget
Weekly financial reporting
Compile detailed reports and analysis to present to management team
Maintain the fixed assets and depreciation register
Stock valuations Overheads and performance analysis
Ledger reconciliations
Maintain the costing system and the product price list
Maintain group loan records Forward exchange contract monitoring ONS surveys
Provide analyses for the annual audits Adhoc analyses for the Managing Director and the Purchasing Manager

What skills do I need?

Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
At least 4 years' of management accounts experience
Experience or understanding of stock control and product costing
Ability to analyse data and identify trends
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Good organisation skills
Confident user of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs)
