Job Description

Robertson Bell are pleased to be working with a Sports organisation, to recruit an Interim Senior Finance Business Partner, to work on a large programme that is moving into its 2nd stage, on an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend a further 6 months.

Working closely with the Project Director, you will business partner across a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation acting as the key point of contact for finance across this large and influential programme by setting out key deliverables and timeframes.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Project team to understand the process, pipeline and budget.
  • Create and develop reporting for the project to ensure it feeds back and integrates into Core Finance. Once created, this will include continuous review and development of accurate reporting and analytics including KPI’s and dashboards for presentation to stakeholders.
  • Produce financial reports to highlight key financial information to ensure non-finance stakeholders are fully conversant with the financial position of the programme.
  • Perform due diligence checks on financial information submitted to the project board, providing feedback on findings and risks.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) accountant.
  • Have proven experience in business partnering and project accounting.
  • Be able to use analytical skills to see different perspectives of a problem and produce meaningful financial information and make recommendations.
  • Have the ability to resolve business-critical issues within a complex organisation.
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice period.

This role falls inside of IR35.
