Robertson Bell Finance are working with a leading Educational organisation to recruit an Interim Director of Finance to join their team during a period of change. Based in Derby, the role will last for an initial period of 3 months with the potential for extension following this.
Reporting into the CEO, the main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Lead and manage a team of 7 across finance and procurement to deliver an excellent service to the organisation.
- Ensure tight cash flow management, keeping all stakeholders regularly in the loop with their financial position.
- Oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts and produce commentary on the accounts.
- Improve financial controls and processes to make sure that all areas of risk are covered and minimised.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant who has extensive experience at a senior level of management. Experience of managing a wider function than just finance would be highly beneficial but is by no means essential. You must have experience of working in the education sector to be considered for this and it is preferable that this is with a further education organisation.
