Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for a portfolio of insolvency cases of various sizes and complexity and administering these cases from inception through to closure.

Cases include:

  • Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation
  • Members’ Voluntary Liquidation
  • Compulsory Liquidation
  • Bankruptcy
  • Administration (trading and non-trading)
  • Company and individual Voluntary Arrangements


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing case delivery including pre-appointment, case progression and closure
  • Ensuring all statutory deadlines and other statutory requirements are met.
  • Ensuring all other aspects of casework are completed in a timely manner and to a good standard
  • Understanding and dealing with the key commercial aspects of the insolvent cases
  • Reporting case progress and recommendations to management
  • Investigations into directors and debtors conduct
  • Preparing for and attending meetings
  • Dealing with Creditor claims
  • Managing asset valuations and realisations
  • Liaising and corresponding with all stakeholders on cases


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Insolvency experience essential
  • CPI or ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency Qualification
  • Experience in dealing with all aspects of case work, including diary and WIP management
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
