I am currently recruiting a role with a digital publishing business based in Central London. Initially a publishing business over the last ten years they have transformed into a digital media company. Due to continuous growth from acquisition and internal promotion they have a new role available for a Head of Reporting. This role is a really nice hybrid of internal and external reporting. This role is responsible for heading up the finance team who are responsible for closing the accounts each month ensuring that they provide an accurate representation of business performance, and adherence to the financial reporting requirements of the US parent company. The role will also be responsible for the annual audit and liaison with the external auditors. You will lead the team who takes ownership of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including review with business budget holders and key UK and US Finance staff. You will also create the statutory accounts for the group. Build strong working relationships and develop high levels of integration with the subsidiary companies and the FP+ A team to ensure mutual understanding of information requirements, deadlines and workloads. You will also be integral to a number of their transformation projects. The role supports the Head of UK Finance: Compliance and helps to ensure that is up-to-date with its reporting obligations, including statutory accounts, VAT, Tax, Transfer pricing and overseas registrations compliance. In addition, it plays an active part in ongoing finance transformation projects relating to UK MTD, Global Tax Engine, Concur Expenses and Revenue recording systems. You will be a qualified accountant with experience of leading a team in an international business. You will have experience of both management and financial reporting to international standards. As this role is an interim position only candidates on a maximum of two weeks' notice will be considered. There is an opportunity that this role may transition to permanent.
