Your new company

Your new company is one of the UK's largest infrastructure organisations - with operations across the UK. Due to the scale of the business, they have a very large Internal Audit team, of around 25 auditors - and they are looking for a Head of Internal Audit to manage that piece.

The Head Office is in Central London with very easy transport links from both inside and outside of London - with access to the Underground and Mainline train stations.

Your new role

In your new role as Head of Internal Audit for this London based Infrastructure organisation - you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all Internal Audit operations across the business, including financial, operational, head office, health & safety and project audits. The team is well established, and there are 5 Managers in place to support the delivery of the audits, and a strong pool of auditors - your main task is to work with the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Director to make sure that the Audit Committee and wider C-Suite receive timely, accurate and impactful reports.

There is no international travel in this role, but the business is UK wide, and you would be expected to visit locations and sites when it is felt your presence is needed. You are likely to do no more than 1 day per week to sites, but due to the need to travel, it is preferred if you are able to drive, as relying on the trains can be tricky.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.)
  • Experience in running an Internal Audit function, and management of teams
  • Knowledge of a relatable sector (Infrastructure, Construction, Transport, Logistics)
  • Ability to live and work in the UK without restriction or need for sponsorship
