Head of Finance, Charity, Direct route to CFO, Home / Office working, Challenging start with quick rewards.

Your new company
This recognised charity are a health and social care provider, offering a diverse range of support to adults and children at the heart of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. They strive to create awareness and an understanding of the issues they face as well as providing the best service possible to those they help. Your new role
This head of finance job will be varied and demanding, with a particular challenging first 12 months. You will report into the CFO, and take full responsibility of 2 charities managing overall maintenance and production of financial records, payroll and performance reporting, including management and statutory requirements. You will also be the lead a number of projects, including system changes and as a member of the Senior Management Team, you will develop a strong relationship with all senior stakeholders, including the governing body and trustees.

What you'll need to succeed
The organisation has just been through some changes, so you be joining at an unsettled time with the finance team having gone through a number of redundancies, so staff management, leadership and organisational change qualities are essential. You'll also need to be confident and have experience dealing with external auditors as they have recently changed who they use, so will need to prepare for an in-depth audit.

Industry experience of working in a Charity is not essential, all industries will be considered, but you will be expected to demonstrate your understanding and transferable experience of how you may adapt to this new industry.

You must be qualified, not qualified by experience.
