Qualified Financial Manager, ICEAW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, £57,000 12 month contract, Newcastle, flexible/remote

Established organisation with a reputation for excellence, and a broad remit to deliver services across the UK. Operates as a divisional operation of a wider organisation, and currently undergoing transformational projects.

Your new role
This is a 12 month contract position operating as Head of Finance. You will report in to the Financial Director, and work closely with them on shifting priorities, tight deadlines, and whilst overseeing a team of both qualified and non qualified colleagues.
This is a key leadership role, implementing the financial strategy for the organisation. As an accomplished financial manager, your role will be leading internal finance business partnering, financial management and internal business partnering, Annual Report and Accounts production, overseeing the grants management team and working closely with the EU Certifying Authority. This role is accountable for ensuring public funds are appropriated in line with guidelines.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to provide advice and recommendations to the Directors, ensuring the data and evidence is provided for the finance team to support the CEO and wider business as a trusted advisor.

What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced and qualified Finance Manager/Controller/Head of Finance, you will have a resilient personality, the confidence and capability to effectively lead a large team, and a background in the delivery of financial excellence.
You will have experience of partnering stakeholders who hold complex diverse budgets and high-level scenario planning and forecasting. Have the ability to inspire and motivate at all levels, and significant experience of operating and influencing at a senior level. Your demonstrable analytical skills, to produce business focused resolutions, and ability to engage and influence with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders will be equally valued. This is along with your capability in applying investment appraisal techniques, supporting business case development with cost/benefit analysis.
