Hays Senior Finance is proud to be working in partnership with Twycross Zoo, an award-winning conservation charity and rapidly growing visitor attraction, committed to supporting global welfare and conservation efforts in the captive breeding of endangered species whilst supporting projects from many different countries around the world.
The Zoo are invested in continuing to grow and build upon their success and as part of their 20 year, £55 million masterplan, they have opened a £3.5 million new world class chimpanzee habitat and have further upcoming major projects to ensure an impressive and inspiring experience for all visitors. To support the Zoo with their ongoing achievements, they are now looking to recruit a Head of Finance to ensure a first-class visitor experience.
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, you will be a key member of the Operational Management Team with responsibility for the day to day running of the finance function. You will oversee both monthly and financial accounts ensuring they are produced to a high standard in given timeframes. As an inspiring leader, you will look at improving processes and procedures to increase accuracy, develop the finance team and add further value.
What you'll need to succeed
With an ambitious strategy and tight deadlines you will be used to working in a fast-pasted environment of similar size. As a qualified accountant you will have the technical ability to produce monthly and financial accounts; whilst having the gravitas to build and challenge relationships across the business up to Executive level. You will also be a good man-manager, having an approachable and efficient style to get the best out the team.
