This Essex-based organisation provides Housing services in the surrounding area. Now recruiting for a Head of Finance having experienced some significant strategic change and following the arrival of fresh leadership in recent months, there are exciting projects and developments ahead. The organisation boasts good financial strength and performance, so this will be a very attractive opportunity for the right person to come on board.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the key accountabilities of the role will be:
*Provide effective leadership to all financial services within the organisation, including financial management, operations, procurement and income recovery, overseeing a total of roughly 30 staff
*As part of the leadership team, support strategic decision making and ensure all regulations and policies are adhered to
*Lead on financial planning, supporting the focus on Development and Growth as well as the commitment to providing exceptional value for money and digitalisation across the organisation
*Take ownership of financial management and reporting, providing accurate reports to internal and external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
*Lead on the preparation of annual financial statements

As an organisation moving towards digitalising across the board, there is a very modern approach applied, including offering truly flexible working arrangements to suit modern working requirements. With a recent history of very low staff turnover, this post comes into a settled team of hard working and committed staff.

To be considered for the position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
*Be a fully qualified accountant with significant experience working in senior finance positions that demonstrate strong leadership ability
*Ideally come from within the Housing sector, though strong applications from other highly regulated sectors or the commercial world will also be considered
*Be a first-class communicator with the desire to add value to an organisation with a strong social purpose
