Job Description

We are working with a high growth renewable energy business in London who are looking for a strong qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) to join them as a Group Reporting Manager in a newly created role owing to an internal promotion and team expansion.

They are well established and are now embarking on the next phase of growth that will put them as a market leader in renewable energy production as well as sustainability.

The role will suit either someone coming direct from an Accountancy Practice firm or whom experience in industry up to 3 years PQE. It is essential that the successful applicant will be a fully qualified accountant and experience in energy would be advantageous but not essential.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the jobholder will be a key member of the finance team, taking on specific responsibility for the statutory functions of the Group (including the statutory accounts and annual report preparation, as well as running of the audit/tax compliance).

Alongside this, the jobholder will be the key business partner for the head office function, which includes the Group's significant project development budget. The jobholder will be expected to take the lead on the consolidation and presentation of the monthly management accounts and provide cover/support to other areas of the business as required. The individual will play a significant role in preparing, consolidating, and challenging the yearly budget.

Alongside the activities noted above, the jobholder will be expected to have oversight of all facets of the Group's accounts and business forecasts - in particular the five-year financial plan as communicated to the shareholders. The Group is going through a period of growth, and there will be some key projects and pieces of ad hoc work that the jobholder will be expected to deliver, to ensure the finance systems and processes are up to scratch and represent best business practices - especially in light of the development of the new project.

The job holder will be expected to work closely with the Group Finance manager and the wider finance team and be an able team player.

As you can see, this is a varied role and would be a great move for someone looking for their next move in the Renewable Energy industry or whom is interested in getting into the sector.

The package on offer is excellent with car allowance, profit share, pension and health care and they expect the post holder here to have excellent career progression in line with the business's continued expansion.

The role will be remote based initially and then you will be expected to spread your time across our clients offices and sites, all of which are in London.
