My client, an ambitious multisite manufacturing business in Derbyshire, is seeking a Group Financial Controller to hire and lead a new team.
My client, an ambitious multisite manufacturing business with a significant presence in Derbyshire, has devised a plan to reorganised and reshape the business to deliver exponential growth in the next 5 years.
The organisation has an excellent brand and reputation too.
As the Group Financial Controller, this role will focus on three key areas. Initially, you will be tasked with the delivery of a regular set of consolidated set of financial and management reports for the CFO and CEO. Having created a simplified and structured process, you will be expected to quickly review and assess the team in order to make swift improvements in performance. The role will develop into a business focused and partnering lead role, once the processes and team have been established.
Finally, you will be expected to come alongside the Operations Managers at each site to understand their challenges and opportunities and to execute a gradual transformation programme with profit and cash as the focus.
Whilst the title for this position is Group Financial Controller, you will have a broad finance role that will give exposure to all aspects of the business. With revenues around £50m for 2019, the Group Financial Controller will act as the technical finance lead, as well as the commercial and operational finance lead.
Working closely with the CFO, you will gain a mentor who will support your personal and professional growth in a short period of time.
Ideally you will:
- Have extensive knowledge of operational manufacturing processes and terminology (e.g BOMs, WIP, & Stock)
- Be a professionally qualified accountant - through CIMA, ACCA or even ACA/ ICAEW
- Communicate effectively to senior and junior colleagues
- Thrive in a highly pressurised environment going through change
