Our client is a fast-paced, highly acquisitive commercial business with many locations UK wide and growing.

Your new role
With a stable and expanding team, they are looking to appoint a Group Accountant who will oversee the reporting of the Groups financial performance internally to the Directors and Senior Management team as well as to other external stakeholders. Responsibilities will cover:

  • Internal monthly reporting including the consolidation of the group monthly management results, reviewing monthly cashflow compared to budget and production of the Group's monthly Board Report
  • External quarterly reporting including quarterly production and reporting of financial covenants required
  • Budget process including consolidation of the Groups P&L budgets and 5-year forecasts, balance sheet & cashflow, variance analysis and reconciliation of the Group loan balances
  • Management of the Group's audit process
  • Group Corporation Tax
  • Statutory accounting

This person will drive forward and run the Group level reporting both with external stakeholders and Directors. The key area is understanding the big picture position and strategy of the group and ensuring this is reflected in reporting and associated commentary.

What you'll need to succeed
Fully qualified, the ideal person will have a proven background in technical accounting and have demonstrable experience in preparing statutory accounts and of managing large complex consolidations. Strong Excel skills to include macros and managing large complex multi-tab reports are essential. Commercial experience is ideal, however first time movers from professional practice would also be considered. Personal qualities required include: enthusiasm, drive, commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills.
