Hays is proud to be exclusively partnered with a well-established leading regional Chartered Accountancy practice based in Berwick upon Tweed and Haddington. This firm have grown significantly over recent years and are now 13 partners and over 100 staff. That makes the firm the largest Chartered Accountancy firm operating outside of Edinburgh and Newcastle and one of the biggest employers in the area.
Your new role
Our client is looking to take on hungry, dedicated and motivated graduates who have a passion for accountancy and finance and have career ambitions of becoming a fully qualified CA, you will have the opportunity to become a well-rounded financial expert and trusted Chartered Accountant. Our client will allow you the freedom to choose between ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland) and ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales ) qualifications. Your training will include spending time in classes at college (usually Newcastle or Edinburgh), completing the exam modules and working within our client's modern office. You will receive ongoing mentoring throughout and will have the opportunity to work in all of our client's accountancy departments to provide you with the practical tools and ensure that you gain the professional technical skills required to provide quality client service throughout your career.
What you'll need to succeed
if you are a friendly, confident, communicative, and approachable individual, prepared to work hard to achieve this qualification, and you are interested in this exciting challenging and rewarding career development, then I would love to hear from you. You will also need to have at least a 2:1 degree in any discipline (obtained or predicted) or the full AAT qualification, and good communication skills.
What you'll get in return
Your salary is competitive and increases with each year of study you complete and when you become part qualified. Or client also cover the costs of your study package, first sitting of each exam and travel expenses.
