Job Description
Reporting into the Director of Audit Assurance & Governance, this growing department is looking for a Governance Officer.

Description
Establish a rolling calendar of governance related activities, including the development of a comprehensive forward programme for Board and Committees based upon our preparation for future regulatory assessments. |
Support in the monitoring of compliance responsibilities for the Board and relevant Committees ensuring appropriate information is tabled in a timely manner. |
Support in the preparation for regulatory assessment including the development and coordination of detailed information required, highlighting gaps as applicable. |
Support the delivery of governance / assurance related improvement projects to agreed deadlines, leading on the delivery of specific agreed projects. |
Assist in the evaluation of management assessment of first and second lines of assurance as documented within the Board Assurance Framework and supporting Regulatory compliance assessments. |
Support the department in embedding governance and assurance good practice across the organisation. |
Develop and prepare reports which monitor the delivery of improvement action plans across governance, assurance and regulation to help identify successful implementation across the business. |
Develop and maintain a reference library of governance material supporting business as usual governance, assurance, processes and the organisations response to regulatory assessments. |
The overall purpose of the role is to provide high quality and professional support across the key areas of Governance, Assurance and Regulation to ensure the adoption of good practice in preparation for future regulatory assessments. To support and coordinate the organisations response to regulatory assessment. The role is a 12 month fixed term contract. |

Profile
At least two years' experience of working within the field of corporate governance, regulatory compliance and assurance. |
Able to interpret changing governance and regulatory best practice & legislative requirements, coordinating and delivering related improvement projects to agreed deadlines. |
Able to project plan and coordinate others to achieve deadlines. |
Excellent communication and interpersonal across a variety of management levels facilitating cooperation |
Fully competent on the full suite of Microsoft applications, with the ability to produce detailed and complex information succinctly and professionally |
Job Offer
Up to 36,000 plus benefits.
