Fund Accountant job at specialist, global fund administrator - private equity, real estate and infra funds
Your new company
My client is a Global Fund Administrator that provides services to private equity, real estate, infrastructure and debt funds. They operate across Europe, US and Asia with the London office to be the faster growing team supporting a dynamic and dedicated workforce.
They are an award winning partner in the investment management sector and roles within the business offer unrivaled exposure to some of the most interesting and niche funds in the City.
This company offers a route into the asset management sector and a chance for someone to build a career in real estate or private equity investment management.
Your new role
You will be a technical manager and practitioner who leads the delivery of the day to day client accounting and administration services - working closely with the clients.
You will be a client relationship manager for a portfolio and you will supervise a diverse team of finance professionals, typically up to 5 people - you will take on line management responsibilities and ownership of your team's activities. You will review all of their work including transactions and activity across a range of funds, SPVs, management accounts preparation and NAVs, financial statements (IFRS or UK GAAP compliant), VAT returns and more.
Main responsibilities also include enhancing team cohesion, audit engagement management, contributing to the development of the business and any other duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to have excellent academics and a professional qualification (ACA or ACCA). To be considered for this role you need to have strong technical accounting skills including consolidations, financial disclosures, complex financial instruments knowledge, acquisitions accounting exposure, and a solid understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS with the ability to pick up other standards such as US GAAP as required.
You will be a proactive individual, well organised with excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in supervising and developing staff.
What you'll get in return
Salary is up to £55,000 DOE + a generous benefits package plus 17% bonus potential.
