Our client - a leading, instantly recognisable retailer who are a sought after employer throughout the UK - are currently seeking a high calibre, talented Finance Reporting Manager to join their team based near Hatfield, Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified ACA accountant to make their first move into industry and expand their experience in a commercial environment, offering excellent progression opportunities and exposure to senior management from day one.

The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for all the key financial reporting and modelling, as well as implementing improvements to help the business better understand performance and deliver against targets. Other responsibilities include the preparation and distribution of various internal financial statements to management, maintenance of the organisation's general ledger, and ensuring that all transactions and documentation complies with all relevant necessary regulations.

- Manage the preparation/distribution of internal financial reports maintaining quality and accuracy at all times
- Manage daily activities for accounting, accounts payables, cost accounting and treasury
- Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts
- Research/resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting regulations
- Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls
- Coordinate, develop and update written policies/procedures relating to the financial reporting process
- Maintain/strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
- Coordinate the company's annual audit

- Newly qualified ACA
- Degree educated in an accounting or finance related discipline, with strong academic background
- Accountancy practice professional background
- Strong exposure to the preparation of financial reports
- Knowledge of best practices in internal controls
- Commercial mindset, ready to make the move into industry
