Financial reporting Job in Edinburgh with a leading Asset Manager
Your new company
Hays are working with a fund management business in Edinburgh as a result of expansion across their client base. This business is a multinational organisation with operations facing EMEA regions and the US. The appointment for Financial Reporting Accountant will support the wider financial reporting team and will be responsible for the reviewing of statutory accounts for one if their biggest clients.
Your new role
As Financial reporting Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation and review of statutory accounting information under SORP guidelines. You will be responsible for P&L and balance sheet accounting alongside financial reporting, performance analysis and continuous improvement across the financial reporting process. Due to significant growth within this client, you will gain exposure across projects, partnering with stakeholders internally and externally.
This is a great opportunity for an Accountant with strong Financial and Regulatory experience to join a fast paced environment where you can develop technical experience, influence over projects and continuous improvement which will make a real impact on clients.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have strong financial reporting exposure with a good understanding of controls, financial reporting environments and experience preparing and reviewing financial statements. You will have a keen eye for detail, enthusiasm to develop processes and develop strong, pro-active working relationships with all internal and external customers. It would be preferred that candidates have worked in a similar environment which a finance team, either within a similar investments firm or practice environment.
