Robertson Bell are proud to be exclusively partnering with Save the Children UK to recruit their Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst role on a permanent basis. This role would suit either someone looking to make their first move out of practice or someone who is experienced in financial and management accounting and looking to gain more exposure to working and communicating with senior audiences.

The key responsibilities will be:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- To produce consolidated monthly management performance reporting and analysis for SCUK, for audiences including the Executive Directors and Board
- Prepare monthly analysis and lead monthly reviews, acting as a liaison between Central Finance and the Finance business partners, to communicate understanding of our consolidated performance.
- Support the organisational annual budget, quarterly forecast and multi-year modelling process through production of consolidated financial analysis
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Preparation of statutory financial statements for SCUK’s subsidiaries, presenting these to the subsidiaries’ Boards/Audit Committees and satisfactorily answering questions raised
- Support the production of the SCUK group accounts and statutory audit
- Acting as the key point of liaison with the statutory auditors, and liaising with the Business Partnering and Finance Operations teams as required
- Identify areas where processes could be improved and collaboratively work the other teams to implement relevant changes where appropriate.
- Support the design and delivery of our finance improvement projects
The successful candidate will have:
- Either fully qualified as an accountant or be in the final stages of their qualification
- Experience of:
- Producing management and statutory accounts
- Conducting financial analysis and performance reporting
- Undertaking in-year forecasting, annual budgeting and longer term financial planning
- Experience of and ability to understand interrelationships between different IT systems and to manage large sets of complex data from multiple sources
- Ability to assist in the design, development and implementation of financial processes
