CassonX and delighted to recruiting for a new subsidiary of major global financial services company that specialises in listed equity long-only investment management, with substantial AUM. To be considered for the role CassonX are insisting that you must be a qualified accountant from a "big four" accountancy frim with preference given to those who have qualified in either ACA or ACCA. You will have either gained at least three years post qualified experience in a big four company and performed audits in a Funds / Alternatives / Asset / Investment Management role, or ideally your post qualified experience will have been working as a (senior) Fund Accountant in a Funds / Alternatives / Asset / Investment Management (Client) company, or even in an Administration or Prime Broker business. You must also have strong Excel skills. 
The role will require an experienced and qualified Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, fund accounting oversight, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development/enhancement of internal control policies and procedures. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting for the company. Some responsibilities include:
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Corporate Accounting, fund accounting oversight/shadow NAV
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Coordinate the reparation of reformatting of financial reports to Group standards
  • Daily flash PnL, working with Risk department and external Fund Administrator
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Manage and comply with local entity statutory reporting requirements and tax filings (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc)
