Your new role
Reporting to the Director of Finance based in London you will be responsible for leading the team in Bradford with 4 direct reports and will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, annual consolidated accounts and statutory accounts, you will ensure accuracy within all balance sheet accounts along with ensuring compliance with all society financial policies and procedures in all projects. You will act as a Business Partner to key stakeholders within the organisation providing robust financial advice and excellent customer service. You will work closely with and managers through the budgeting process and provide ongoing support to monitor and plan corrective action if necessary. You will also work closely with the Director of Finance to develop and improve financial systems.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with experience of preparing management and statutory accounts with proven ability to liaise with third parties including external auditors. You will have high level IT /Finance systems knowledge and high level excel skills are essential to this role including: SUMIFS, VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables is essential to this role. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal & written communication skills and will be able to influence and persuade colleagues through effective communication. Problem solving & analytical skills are highly important within the role as is the ability to suggest plans and strategies to deal with a broad range of complex activities. You will be able to work autonomously and will have proven experience of leading a team including performance management.
