Job Description

The role of the Financial Controller is incredibly important to the company who are ambitious and have aggressive growth plans. This standalone role will report into the Finance Director whilst also having a direct line to the ownership, who are insistent on creating a collaborative culture. It also offers opportunities to shape the Finance function and build the team, with promotion prospects as the business grows.

Client Details

My client was formed in 2013 by the senior leadership team of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) that planned, delivered, and operated the London 2012 Venues and Olympic Park.

The company is headquartered in London with regional offices in Dubai and Qatar. They have worked on events such as Olympic Games, Super Bowl, Commonwealth Games, FIFA World Cup, World Expos, as well as venues including the Eden Project, Twickenham (RFU), Urban Adventure, the London Olympic Park and London Stadium.

Description

  • Manage and perform all aspects of the finance function from data entry through to financial reporting across my client's three entities

  • Reporting will include actuals, forecasts, profitability, cashflow etc across all business entities and business sectors, and cycles will be weekly, monthly and quarterly

  • Work closely with their consultant Finance Director to provide accurate and timely reporting information to the Board and Management Team

  • Providing direction and mentoring to junior members of the team to ensure accurate collection and capture of data

Profile

  • ACA/ACCA qualified

  • Proven experience in finance operations at senior manager level

  • Experience in providing advice to Executive Directors

  • Team management exposure
  • Experience of working for a start-up or SME would be an advantage

Job Offer
