Join a Nobel Prize-winning organisation committed to creating safe and secure futures for women, men and children around the world. MAG works by finding and destroying landmines, cluster bombs and the explosive remnants of war and by advocating and campaigning on behalf of those whose lives are blighted by the lethal debris of conflict. Be part of this life-changing mission by joining MAG to help us free from fear some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world.

We are looking for an exceptional Financial Compliance Manager to join our growing finance team at our Manchester HQ. In this role, you will manage the monitoring and assessment of MAG’s global finance function’s conformance with internal financial controls, as well as donor and global partnership requirements. You will also contribute to and support the development and implementation of MAG’s financial policies, procedures and processes, striving to deliver continuous improvement and global standards across the function.

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in financial analysis, managing audit and assurance work, and bringing improvements to processes. A background in a global commercial or NGO environment is essential. You will also need to hold a professional accounting qualification from a CCAB affiliated body, or international equivalent.

This role will require high levels of initiative, pro-activeness and strong multi-tasking skills. Above all, you will need excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will need to be approachable, flexible, have a sharp eye for detail and be ready to work in a busy and varied role. You will also recognise that supporting good financial procedure can make a real difference to MAG’s success in saving lives and building futures.

The role is based in central Manchester and will involve occasional overseas travel to our country programmes.

MAG is committed to the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion. If you think you would be suited to one of our roles, we would welcome your application regardless of age, disability status, ethnicity, gender, religion or sexual orientation. We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive working environment where all employees feel respected and supported in fulfilling their potential.
