Financial Accountant role in a major law firm
Your new company
This is a well known law firm looking to hire a Financial Accountant to take ownership of their UK accounts. They specialise in working with high net worth individuals, celebrities and major brands, and their culture is positive with a good flexible working programme and high retention levels.
Your new role
This role takes responsibility for preparing the UK accounts, and reports directly into the Financial Controller. There's a lot of interaction with the rest of the business as you'll be a key person in developing budgets as well as preparing analysis on these.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the UK financial statements
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Senior stakeholder exposure
- Variance analysis
- Acting as a point of contact for auditors
- Maintenance of records using Elite
- Ad hoc project work
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a fully qualified accountant with experience preparing financial accounts previously. Experience within an accountancy practice, or legal/professional services environment is desired but not essential.
