Job Description
Accountabilities:
Operational:
- Deliver the preparation of the annual Business Plan and related assessments to ensure a sound submission, including operational, economic and financial KPIs
- Deliver the preparation of performance overviews and appraisals
- Take ownership for a core business financial indicator with quality of data and analysis for example for NIBIAT, Cashflow or Production OR a planning focused role.
- Pilot and embed innovative solutions for PAR that leverage new technologies to make PAR delivery more efficient and effective
- Ensuring that performance is well analysed and explained in management information packs delivered on a regular basis
- Resolving reporting issues and providing steers on financial queries
- Ad hoc analysis for leadership teams, including insights on financials/results, working capital analysis, price movement impact on cash/earnings, etc.
- MI packs, including commentaries and dashboards.
- Monthly cost analysis and tracking
- Resolving reporting issues and providing steers on financial queries
- Provide insightful analysis which incorporates external perspective - to support decision-making and drive the performance improvement agenda
- Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders, to deepen team's understanding and resolution of underlying issues within the Results and Plan
Stakeholder Management:
- The incumbent must have a good track record of being a team member as dealing effectively with multiple stakeholders is an important part of the position.
Project Management:
- Delivers assigned migration activities and ensures optimization of activity execution and resources.
- Actively problem solves, understanding the big picture, planning their work and working as part of the Finance team.
- Support and implement Global Reporting & Analysis initiatives
Process Improvements:
- The incumbent must promote continuous improvement-define and improve the process, eliminate waste and adapt best practises from other locations.
- Recommend alternatives if current approach/process could be done in a more cost effective manner while achieving the business objective.
Requirements:
• Professional qualified (CIMA, ACCA, CWA or similar) or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics;
• 8-10 years post qualification experience in Accounting, Reporting and MI roles.
• Demonstration of previous Controllership / PAR knowledge as well as a track record in adapting to new challenges and a collaborative approach are critical;
• Strong inter-personal and inter-cultural skills are required, with experience of engaging across a multi-cultural environment;
• Good level of commercial acumen and risk management mindset and ability to deliver;
• Appetite to work in a high paced environment and manage multiple and changing priorities simultaneously. Must be a self-starter and be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining strong working relationships;
• A proactive, enquiring mind with the ability to pay attention to the detail as well as step back to understand the bigger picture.
