Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a new role that will suit a qualified (or senior Part Qualified/qualified by experience) Accountant who has broad experience - but may have some development areas - with this newly created role and with a very supportive hands on boss there is plenty of chance to build on your experience.

Responsibilities will include: -

  • Manage cashflow on a daily/weekly basis including multi-currency.
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Oversee the sales ledger - sales invoicing including EDI, customer receipts, customer statements, credit control.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger - purchase orders, purchase invoices, supplier statements, supplier payments.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis for hourly paid staff and monthly basis for salaried staff.
  • Ensure PAYE/NI returns are filed and relevant payments made.
  • Deal with employee / employer pension contributions
  • Produce and file VAT Returns
  • Intrastat / EC Sales
  • Invoicing & Sales Reconciliation
  • Petty Cash Reconciliations
  • Work with Financial Director to agree foreign exchange strategy.
  • Work with Financial Director to produce annual budgets and interim forecasts.
  • Assist with development and implementation of stock controls and ERP system.
  • Work with Financial Director to improve product costing process.
  • Month End Accounts - PO Accruals, Other Accruals, Prepayments, Stocks, Recharges, Depreciation, Grant, HP Schedule reconciliation, Fixed Assets Schedule.
  • Other Ad hoc duties - Audit Information, Grant Information.
