Hays have been appointed Exclusively to manage a Finance Manager job with a highly regarding Construction business in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful Construction business with growth plans. The Finance Manager will join a highly collaborative UK based business with opportunities to develop and progress their career. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this is a rare commercial finance role offering considerable opportunities in their career ahead for the right candidate.
Your new role
This is a newly created role in the structure and will be very visible across finance and the wider business. the Finance manager will be responsible for Management Accounting, P&L accounting, budgeting, forecasting and year-end audits. In addition to this you will have significant business partnering responsibilities, bridging the gap between finance and operations. The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with stakeholders, understanding the scope of projects and where finance can add value to improve performance across the regions.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the provision of key MI to stakeholders and liaising with various teams across the Construction channels and supporting the delivery of projects against budget.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant, ideally with some experience within the Construction Industry. Candidates from the Big 4 will also be considered with an appetite to develop and progress within the business. This is a critical role where business partnering as well as technical accounting focus is key. You should be comfortable telling the story behind the numbers, providing detailed analysis and getting out to the business and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a salary of between £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience and a suite of benefits including bonus, pension and annual leave entitlement.
